The HOC Method
Pre-Production Quality Planning
Initial Production Inspection
Inline Inspection
Pre-Shipment Inspection
At 40–50% completion, HOC pulls random samples from active production. We identify developing defect trends and ensure immediate corrective actions. Critical for catching issues like wrong leather panel placement or inconsistent grain matching before they affect the full order.
The definitive quality gate. Every finished unit is individually inspected against the approved sample and checklist. Covers leather quality, grain harmony, stitching integrity, hardware function, edge paint, lining, embossing, and dimensions for wallets and bags. Nothing ships until the buyer approves.
Before production, HOC defines acceptance criteria with the buyer. A quality checklist is prepared and shared with the manufacturer, covering leather grade, defect tolerance, grain consistency, hardware, stitching, and packaging. The manufacturer knows the exact standard before cutting begins.
HOC inspects the first 5–10 units against the approved sample, catching systematic deviations early. Checks include dimensions, leather panel selection, stitching, hardware, and edge finishing. A deviation found here costs a correction; at the warehouse, it costs a shipment.
